Berbohong awalnya memang tak mudah. Setelah terbiasa, bohong akan jadi lebih mudah. Masalahnya, kalau sudah terlanjur berbohong, sulit untuk kembali pada kejujuran. Sekali berbohong maka orang cenderung terus berbohong dan bila satu kebohongan terbongkar maka satu-satunya cara yang terpikir adalah membuat kebohongan baru untuk menutupinya.
Masalah yang sama dialami oleh Dr. Daniel Maccabee (Adam Sandler). Daniel punya kebiasaan berbohong. Ia sudah menyiapkan cincin yang selalu ia kenakan saat ia berusaha mendekati seorang wanita. Daniel selalu berpura-pura menjadi pria yang pernikahannya gagal. Dengan modus ini, Daniel selalu berhasil menggaet wanita mana pun. Jadi tak ada alasan buat Daniel untuk menghentikan dusta ini kan?
Masalah mulai jadi rumit saat Daniel bertemu Palmer (Brooklyn Decker). Saat pertama melihat wanita cantik ini Daniel langsung jatuh cinta. Daniel pun memutuskan untuk tidak berbohong kali ini. Sayangnya, secara tidak sengaja Palmer menemukan cincin Daniel. Karena sudah terbiasa berbohong, terpaksa Daniel berbohong lagi. Ia mengatakan bahwa ia memang sudah menikah namun pernikahannya sudah di ambang perceraian.
Untuk mendukung dusta ini Daniel terpaksa merekrut Katherine Murphy (Jennifer Aniston) untuk berpura-pura menjadi istrinya. Celakanya, masalah jadi semakin rumit saat kebohongan ini mulai melibatkan anak-anak Katherine.
Two British comic book nerds named Graeme Willy (Simon Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Nick Frost) have travelled to America for a huge comic book convention and to visit all the sites of major extra terrestrial importance. On the way to their second site, they stop off at a café, where two soldiers confront them. As they hurriedly leave, they reverse into the soldiers’ car, leaving a dent. At the next site, they see a car blasting towards them and, believing it to be the soldiers, they speed off in their RV. Eventually, the car catches up, and they realize that it is not the soldiers. As it overtakes, it speeds off the road, rolls several times, and comes to a halt in a field. The two shocked men get out to investigate. When they realize that the vehicle is empty and begin phoning the emergency services, they hear a voice telling them not to. They turn around, and a little green alien comes into view, smoking a cigar, and introduces himself as Paul. Clive faints, and Paul explains to Graeme that he is on the run and needs their help. Graeme agrees to let him come. When Clive wakes up, he is not happy about the idea, but is eventually brought around.
Along the way, they are forced to take with them a Christian named Ruth (Kristen Wiig), who, until Paul shows her his memories, believes that there is nothing outside Earth and that God created humans. When he shatters her faith in Christianity, she suddenly becomes eager to ‘sin’, which she was not allowed to do before by her controlling father, who pursues them. She initially doesn't trust Paul, but to prove himself trustworthy, he heals her eye, as she has been blind in it since the age of four. The whole way, three secret agents, apparently eager to kill Paul under orders from a woman over the radio, have tailed them.

This HBO film examines the relationship between strangers who are brought togheter by desperate circumstances , or maybe fate , and turn it into one of the best dialogs I’ve heard so far in a movie.
It’s definitely worth watching , even though it dosen’t have any action or incredibly complicated mindfuck , it does have some food for the brain , which is always my goal when selecting what to watch.

Columbia Pictures, Original Film, and producer Neal Moritz have apparently hired Next Day Air director Benny Boom to helm the sequel. The film, titled S.W.A.T.: Fire-Fight, already has a screenplay written by Reed Steiner, a television writer/produceer on Nash Bridges, The District, The Shield, Invasion, and NCIS. The sequel will follow LAPD Lieutenant Paul Cutler, who is transferred to a SWAT team in Detroit and “finds himself the target of a homicidal genius who is protected by government officials.” I’m guessing this is a direct-to-dvd sequel, but I’m not 100% positive. All we know is that production is set to begin in April 2010.

Doug dan Louis Riley adalah pasutri patuh baya yang tengah bermasalah dengan perkawinan mereka. Meski terlihat adem-ayem saja dari luar, akan tetapi hubungan Doug dan Lois cenderung berjarak dan dingin. Doug selingkuh dengan seorang pelayan restoran bernama Vivian (Eisa Davis) sedang Louis menderita agorafobia, yaitu gangguan psikis yang menyebabkan ia segan untuk keluar dari rumahnya. Semuanya berawal dari kematian putri mereka yang berusia 15 tahun akibat sebuah kecelakaan beberapa tahun sebelumnya. sebuah peristiwa pahit yang tampaknya hingga sekarang masih belum bisa mereka atasi bersama.
Saat Vivian meninggal karena serangan jantung, kehampaan kembali menghampiri Doug. Hubungannya dengan Lois pun semakin tenggelam dalam kebekuan.Tidak berapa lama kemudian Doug harus menghadiri sebuah konvensi yang diadakan di New Orleans. Disana ia bertemu dengan seorang penari striptis berusia 16 tahun bernama Mallory (Kristen Stewart). Terlepas dari betapa urakan sikapnya,bertaburnya F-words adalah vokabulari kesehariannya, dan betapa temperamentalnya Mallory, Doug memutuskan untuk tinggal di rumahnya dan mengurus Mallory. Tentu saja Mallory menerimanya karena iming-iming uang yang diajukan oleh Doug. Sementara itu Lois pun memutuskan untuk menyelamatkan perkawinannya, karena merasa apa yang tengah terjadi antara dirinya dengan Doug tidak bisa dibiarkan begitu saja. Dengan gentar ia pun menyusul Doug ke New Orleans dan hebatnya berhasil tiba dengan selamat. Saat ia mengetahui Doug tinggal serumah bersama seorang gadis belia, Lois merasa kaget juga marah awalnya, akan tetapi naluri keibuannya berkata lain dan pada akhirnya mencoba untuk menjalin hubungan Mallory yang ternyata bernama asli Allison itu.
